I grew up in San Jose, CA and was an undergraduate at San Jose State University where I received my BA in Psychology. I then went on to do a two-year post-baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania where I worked in the lab of Dr. Michael Robinson on the function and regulation of glutamate transporters. After being accepted to the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at UCSF, I have spent my last two years as a full-time medical student.
